Thesis: This is the first paragraph of your essay. Start with a general topic sentence. Then, create interest by using a quote or sharing an anecdote (if this fits the mode/assignment). Narrow your topic and lead into the last sentence of this paragraph - the
thesis statement.

*Start each paragraph with a  transition (a connection to the previous paragraph) and a Topic Sentence (a general statement introducing the new paragraph). These may be combined into one sentence.
*Detail Sentences-These sentences add specific information.
*Clincher-This sentences adds a feeling of conclusion.
Conclusion Paragraph: Restate the thesis and main ideas in each body paragraph. Then, add an ending thought to give the paper a feeling of completeness.
