Feeding America:
The Historic American Cookbook Project
The Michigan State University Library and the MSU Museum are partnering to create an online collection of the most important and influential 19th and early 20th century American cookbooks.
Our Currency
Our currency--money--tells a story about our country's history. This fascinating online exhibit starts with colonial currency from 1776 and continues through today's green backs and tomorrow's smart cards. Each bill is accompanied by a short historical note to place it into context, notes on the artists who created it, plus the meanings of the interwoeven literary devices and artistic accents.
100 milestone documents of American history
To help us think, talk and teach about the rights and responsibilities of citizens in our democracy, we invite you to explore 100 milestone documents of American history. These documents reflect our diversity and our unity, our past and our future, and mostly our commitment as a nation to continue to strive to "form a more perfect union."
Primary sources from popular American Culture
The Authentic History Center is comprised of images of artifacts, sounds,
and written letters and diaries. We believe that these items reflect the
history and societal values of the time period in which they were produced.
They are presented here for individual study of American History. Browse by
