Center for the Study of the Pacific Northwest - makes accessible
some of the University's myriad resources in regional history.
Lewis
and Clark: Mapping the West provides access to Lewis and Clark maps,
with related activities and lesson plans. MOHAI is Seattle's
Museum of History and Industry preserves the history of the Pacific
Northwest as far back as 1850. It contains over a million historical
photos and has an extensive database of oral history interviews. Northwest
Income Indicators Project provides statistics from the Northwest
on income, employment and other factors from 1969-2000. Whitman
Mission National Historic Site - links to many educational resources
here, including teachers' guides, biographies, a timeline, archaeological
information, mission
recipes for students to try, and hundreds of current and historic photos.
