PNW Geography Brainstorm

  1. This is an in class assignment, make sure your name is included on your team's sheet for credit.

TASK 2

PNW Geography Baseball

  1. Each Friday we will play a game of PNW Geography Baseball based on questions you will write each week on the topic we are studying. You are required to turn in one question on Tuesday and one question on Thursday each week. On a 3/5 notecard write a question that relates to what everyone has read, discussed or viewed as a whole class about PNW Geography. The question may be multiple choice, direct question or definition. You must include the answer and BOTH first and last name for credit.

  2. The Friday game and rules will be discussed in class. :.)

TASK 3

SETTING UP YOUR NOTEBOOK

  1. Put your complete name and period on your cover of your notebook.
  2. On the first lined page title it as follows:
    Pacific Northwest Geography (new line)
    Washington State.

    On the bottom right corner of this same page put only your initials and on the next line today's date.

    example: hmp
    January 5, 2004

    OR

  3. On the next 4 lined pages, title it "Table of Contents."
    Number each line or skip and number every other line. Number 100 Lines.

    WASHINGTON STATE REGIONS MAP page1

    1. Using the Washington TEMPLATE, create a map of Washington State by inserting the template behind the next blank page with the southern end of Washington close to the staple and the northern end with Puget Sound facing outward to open part.
      Number this page 1 on the lower left corner (and in your Table of Contents). On PAGE 32 in your textbook there is a regions map for you to replicate in your notebook book. If you use color make sure you include a map key. Also include a compass rose. ONLY USE BLACK OR COLORED PENCILS ON ALL MAPS

      • Using the "T" notetaking outline, note important places, landforms as you view the film.
        EXAMPLE OF NOTES
      • Use a highlighter and highlight as least three facts in your notes.
